Hypnosis: a natural state of relaxation and transformation
I invite you to carve out a few minutes of your time. Sit down somewhere comfortable, and turn off any notifications so you’ll be undisturbed. Are you ready?
Take a few deep breaths. Relax your shoulders, soften the muscles of your face. Now... think about those moments in your daily life where you feel deeply relaxed, connected to your intuition, and open to your own creative thoughts and imagination.
Maybe you’re in the shower, letting the warm water flow over you.
Maybe you’re driving on a road you know by heart, almost on autopilot.
Maybe you’re reading a book, completely absorbed.
Maybe you’re daydreaming, taking a walk in nature, or working in the garden, pulling out weeds without really thinking about it.
In those moments, you are not asleep. You are aware of your surroundings, but your mind drifts into a softer, more open state. That is like being in hypnosis — a natural state of mind that we all experience.
In a nutshell, hypnosis is:
Hypnosis is similar to meditation: both bring you into a state of relaxation and presence. However, while meditation often focuses on observing your thoughts and letting them go, hypnosis gently guides you into the subconscious mind — the part of you where beliefs, fears, and old patterns live — and gives you the opportunity to reprogram them in a supportive, empowering way.
As Grace Smith explains "Hypnosis is a natural state where you feel very relaxed but at the same time are very much aware of your surroundings, where you are in control, and where thoughts may continue to float through your mind during the practice".
What hypnosis is not
There are many misconceptions about hypnosis. Hypnosis is not:
- Falling asleep or losing consciousness.
- Being under someone else’s control.
- Forgetting what happened during the session.
The benefits of hypnosis
Because hypnosis works with the subconscious, it can support transformation on many levels:
- Emotional well-being: reduce stress and anxiety, release fears, cultivate calm.
- Self-worth & self-love: break free from limiting beliefs, reconnect with your inner power.
- Practical life changes: quit smoking, overcome fear of flying, sleep better, support weight loss.
- Personal growth: unlock creativity, improve focus, create healthier habits.
Hypnosis is for you if:
- You deeply and strongly desire to change something in your life.
- You are willing to be open, fully relax and trust the process and the unfolding.
- You are willing to dedicate time at home, on your own, to regularly practice hypno-affirmations and self
hypnosis (this is a very easy but powerful technique that I will explain in details during the first session).
Hypnotherapy is not magic. It may not be the right fit if:
- Your desire for change is only light or superficial. I.e. You think "It would be nice to give up sweets", but you actually enjoy them so much, so you’re not deeply motivated to stop.
- Trusting the process doesn’t feel aligned or possible for you at this moment. I.e. You are joining mainly because someone else suggested it, rather than from your own motivation or belief in the process.
- You hope that the session alone, without any personal practice, will create lasting change. I.e. You think “I’ll go to the session hoping it does its trick, but I’m not motivated to work on my own. I’ve got other priorities.”
What is the role of the hypnotherapist ?
You can imagine the hypnotherapist being a guide with a lantern that travels along with you in your subconscious, shading light here and there. The person who does the work and actually shifts the subconscious is you.
“I was hopeful for improvement, but I’m totally blown away by the success.”

Hypnotherapy sessions together
As part of my ongoing hypnotherapy training, I’m offering free, online 90-minute practice sessions.
During our time together, you’ll experience a relaxed and calm state of mind, connection with your intuition, clarity, and the possibility of shifting limiting beliefs — always at your own pace and always in full control.
Since I am still in training, I cannot promise specific outcomes, but the sessions are designed to give you an experience of deep relaxation, connection with yourself and self-awareness.
If you resonate with the points above and feel a genuine curiosity and openness to experience hypnosis, I warmly invite you to offer yourself this sacred time. I would be honored to guide you on this journey.
