In this raw and intimate first article, I share my journey from the old version of myself into the new one — while I’m still standing in the space in between. I explore the storm before the calm, the internal shifts happening through hypnosis, and what it truly feels like to move through a deep identity transition. If you’re ready to release old beliefs and step into a more aligned version of yourself, this piece will speak to you deeply. And if you prefer listening over reading, you can hear me share this story in the very first episode of my podcast. I’d love to have you there.
Today, I want to share something very honest, very raw, and very alive in my life right now. This is not a finished story. It’s not a success story with a perfect ending. This is a story told from the middle — from the space in between the old self and the new identity I am stepping into.
Letting Go of the Old Identity
Right now, I find myself in a profound transitional phase — a true identity shift. I am letting go of the old:the identity I’ve outgrown, the limiting beliefs that shaped my subconscious mind, the lifestyle that no longer feels aligned, and the patterns that kept me stuck in scarcity rather than abundance.
I’m releasing everything that belonged to a version of me that no longer fits. And I’m stepping toward something new — not new in the sense of “invented,” but new because it feels more true, more aligned, more authentic.
This is the beginning of an inner transformation, a shift that starts deep within the subconscious.
The Space In Between the Old and the New
And yet… the new hasn’t fully materialized. I’ve let go of the old, but the new identity is still forming.
This in-between phase — where you’re no longer who you were, but not yet who you’re becoming — is one of the most challenging phases of personal transformation. It feels like standing in the eye of a storm. There was calm before, and there will be calm after, but for now, there is intensity and turbulence.
My subconscious mind is trying to keep me safe, pulling me toward what is familiar. But I know this transition is part of my spiritual growth and part of releasing old patterns that no longer serve me.
Why I’m Certain the Transformation Is Real
A year ago or not even 6 months ago, I wouldn’t have felt this certainty. Back then, I didn’t have this grounded inner knowing. That confidence arrived when I began practicing self-hypnosis and working with a hypnotherapist.Slowly, I started experiencing deep internal shifts in how I think, how I feel, how I see myself, and what I believe is possible.
These are the internal results that show up before the external reality changes. They are the first signs that the subconscious mind is reprogramming itself. You cannot expect your external life to transform if your inner belief system remains the same. This is the heart of subconscious reprogramming: the inside must shift before the outside can.
How I Know I’m in a Transition
One of the clearest signs is how chaotic and unpredictable my daily life has become. Plans shifting. Unexpected obstacles. Stress appearing out of nowhere. Moments where it feels like everything is falling apart.
It can feel like everything is collapsing before something new is born — a common experience during a spiritual awakening or identity shift. But I no longer see these challenges as punishment. They feel like preparation — a strengthening for the aligned version of me I’m stepping into. I feel like I’m walking through a tunnel of transformation. And in this tunnel, I have a choice: Go back to the familiar identity or walk forward into the new one. And I keep choosing the new. Especially when it’s hard.
A Powerful Image: The Black, the Gray, and the White
Recently, I received a powerful metaphor from my intuition:me standing in a gray area — the space of subconscious reprogramming.
Behind me is black, representing:
my old identity
my old belief system
the limiting programs that lived in my subconscious mind for years
In front of me is white, representing:
my new identity
my new subconscious beliefs
the aligned version of me that already exists energetically
And the gray zone is where the transformation happens. The subconscious cannot move from black to white overnight. Deeply ingrained beliefs need time to soften, dissolve, and be replaced. The gray area is not a mistake — it is a necessary part of the identity shift.
What Happens Inside the Gray Zone
The gray zone is rarely calm. It is stormy, disorienting, and emotionally intense.
Inside this gray, you have a choice:
Focus on the black (the old identity): if you focus on your old patterns, old beliefs, and old self, the gray becomes darker. The past takes over again.
Or focus on the white (the new identity): if you focus on who you’re becoming — the new beliefs you’re installing through subconscious reprogramming — then each moment of focus becomes a drop of white paint added into the gray. Slowly, drop by drop, the gray becomes lighter. One day, it becomes white —the moment the new belief system is fully embodied.
Why This Time Is Truly Different
In the past, every time I entered the gray zone, I fell back into the old identity. But this time, something changed.Hypnosis has been changing everything. Self-hypnosis is giving me motivation. That motivation fuels consistency. Consistency creates internal results. Those results create more motivation.
This cycle is what supports a real identity shift. Just like going to the gym. You don’t expect results after one session. You show up. You commit. You trust the process. Eventually, you develop certainty: If I keep doing the inner work, transformation is inevitable. And that’s exactly how I feel now.
A Practical Invitation for You
If you're navigating your own transformation, try this:
1.Create a daily reminder of your desired outcome
Choose a sentence, a word, or an image that reconnects you with the version of yourself you are becoming.Place it somewhere you will see it several times a day — something your subconscious cannot ignore.
Here are some ideas but feel free to come up with your own.
Post-it notes on your mirror, desk, or laptop.
A lock-screen image on your phone with your chosen sentence
A reminder alarm with a short affirmation
A sticky note on your water bottle
A short voice memo you recorded for yourself (30 seconds) that you listen to every morning before getting up and every evening before falling asleep.
A screensaver on your computer with your desired outcome
Anything that anchors the new identity.
2. Practice feeling the new feelings
Let your body experience, in the present moment, the emotions of the identity you’re stepping into.
3. Ask yourself daily
“What is one small action that brings me closer to my new self today?"
4. Keep adding drops of white to your gray
The small actions matter. The consistency matters. Every drop counts.
